Project Icon Disappearance

I downloaded the version 1.2 on Friday (7/31) and started inputting all my projects, needles, yarns, and patterns. I was in the middle of putting a project in and it went blank and then went to the main screen of my I-touch. When I went back in, the project icon was gone, and now I cannot get to my projects anymore. Any suggestions?

I love this app so much but I have also had my projects button disappear on me.
I had about 5/6 projects stored in there and have no idea where I am on anything without it! Please help!

Your projects are still stored in the KnitMinder database, so once we get the issue with the icon fixed, you will still have all of your data. I'm preparing to submit an update to Apple today which should fix the issue. It will be a couple of weeks before they approve it, however. In the meantime, a few people have written to tell me that the icon reappeared after they installed another program, which makes me think that this is a bug on the device, not in the application. I know that this doesn't matter to you -- you just want your project back!

project icon problem

A few other users have reported this problem, but I haven't been able to reproduce it myself, so I've been unable to figure out what is causing the issue so far. One knitter reported that she got the icon back when she deleted and reinstalled the application, but doing so would permanently delete any information that you've entered so far.

I might be able to get a better idea of what is going on by looking at crash logs or backup files that are stored on your computer when you sync your iPod touch. If you're willing to locate and send me those files, please use the Contact Form on the web site to email me and I'll send instructions on where to find the files that I need. I'm really sorry about the inconvenience, and rest assured that I'm working on fixing this problem as quickly as possible.
